Its reference to the red poppy that grew in Flanders Fields has since become an international symbol of remembrance for those who have died in conflict.

Over the past 100 years, “In Flanders Fields” has been recited and red poppies are worn as a tribute to those who have fought for our country. The backdrop is set with a striking red enamel poppy, which gives way to the two Canadian soldiers, quietly morning the loss of their fallen comrade.
